have filed a petition ln the circuit court
asking for an Injunction to restrain
noxious odors that are said to coma
rrom tne packing plant a it la alleged
that the fumes coming from the slaugh
tering establishments and rendering
vats are too strong lor the peace of the
neighborhood. It is charged that the
smell Invades the homes of the com
plainants and cuts a wide swath ln the
atmosphere for blocks around.
The plaintiffs In the case are J. M.
Parke, w. R. Walpole, E. A. Sessions,
Ernest Kroner and C W. CotteL They
reside on Kelly and Curry streets and
Bancroft avenue, near the Terwllliger
tract They ask the oourt to have the
smell abated as a nuls&noe, declaring
