A ridge of high pressure extends
across the northern tier of states from
Washington to Minnesota this morning
and olear ekleg .prevail In consequence
over tne pactno slope, plateau region,
British Columbia, and Alberta. Light
frosts ware reported from Spokane, Ba
ker City, Boise and Pocatello. The de
pression over southern New Mexico re
mains practically stationary. General
rains, excessive ' over Oklahoma 'and
northwestern Texas, and light In Kan
saa, Nebraska and Missouri, have at
tended this disturbance. Lleht scat
tered rains have also fallen over the
northeastern states during the last' 24
hours. Temperatures in the interior of
northern California and m the Missouri
valley were .much higher than yester
day morning: elsewhere no decided
changes occurred.
