Jail at Portland, where he was confined
for nine months, had a saloon fight
with Charles Matt. Wednesday, tha t
caused his. arrest. He was fined 350
before the ; city . recorder. ' Soon - after
he went back to the saloon where the
fight occurred and started a row with
the bartender, Ed Thomas, who threw
a billard ball at Hart. It struck him
in the forehead, causing a wound that
necessitated several stitches. No ar
rests were made after the second row.:
