arrive in the vicinity of the Columbia
river lightship on May 20, a week from

river when the fleet puts in its appear
ance. The Alliance and Nome City will
be held at Astoria and leave from there
when word of the fleet's approach is
received from aome point down the

to carry 700 passengers ' for the trip
and the Alliance and Nome City will
also be given special permits for larger
crowds than they carry on their regular
runs.
