GILBERT SURE OF
TRIP TO LONDON
Oregon Vaultcr Is Consistent
at Twelye FcetChoos-'
ing Time Near.
'By Manhattan.
New Tork, May 11, As the time
Craws near for the choosing of tba ath
letes who are to represent th United
States at the Olympic games In London,
Interest centers In the work being done
by the men who axe to make up the
team and In the preparations to send
them to London la guod shape, While
these sports are for amateurs, this is
a commercial age and the question of
money will obtrude even In amateur
sports. - .
Th American Olymplo commute
needs 150.000 to defray expenses 1 and
send a team which will giv us th
best posslblo chance of holding th high
place won by American athletes in
Athens. Mucn of tms has been -pledged,
but there la much yet to b raised. The
committee , was greatly enoouraged by
the action of the Chicago Athletic asso
ciation in undertaking to raise 22,000
in addition to the 2600 already given.
The clubs are falling In Una and .there
is every reason for the committee to be
sanguine.
The wonderful poi vaulting don by
Dray of "Vale, Cook of Cornell, Gilbert of
Tale. Parker of Pennsylvania and othura
at the Pennsylvania relay . races baa
unown conclusively mat America, win be
in the sky-skimraing event at the Olym-
flc games at London In July.- About
he only men we have to fear are Boder
Strom, th Swede, and Gonder. th
French champion. Qonder won at Athens
with about 11 feet 2 inches, but he will
have to go a full foot higher to gather
in the London honors.
Walter Dray can boost th vaulting
record almost any time he roes after it
on a good flay, and it will tie no surprise
to see him take another fall out of it
ere the college season is over. Cook,
100, is witnin striKing distance of the
record at any time. He has don 12
feet 6 Inches in practice. Gilbert- too,
is a record man and is consistent at 12
feet Barring a run of hard luck, the
Oregon boy fa sure pf a plac on th
Olympic team. 4
President Sullivan of th A. A. tr. has
put a stop to th talk which was cur
rent last week to th effect that Mor
rlssey. winner of th Boston Marathon,
would be barred from th American
Olymplo team. Mr. Sullivan says em
phatically that Morrlssey is practically
a certainty for the team. It may. of
course, develop that some phenomenon
in long-aistance running will develop,
but even In this event Morrissey will
be sent across the sea at an insurance
against accidents.
Tue executive committee or the Na
tional Rifle association has decided to
send an American rifle team across to
compete In the Olympic games. Plana
nave not yet Deen completed for choos
ing the team, but there is every reason
to believe that th best shots In the
United States will compete for the
places on , th team.

All Are Curable
There's no drawing the lln between cura
ble and Incurable diseases. Each Individual
case must be considered. Most doctors claim
that among that class of diseases peculiar to
men on or two; are Incurable. This idea Is
wrong. I have demonstrated that it fs'wrong,
for I cure all diseases of men. The truth is,
that some cases of curable diseases are In
curable, and some cases of so-called incurable
diseases are easily curable by the right meth
ods. I by no means claim the ability to cure
any snd every case that may com to my
office, but I claim to cur most of th cases
that others cannot cure, and I ' always re
fuse treatment where conditions indicate that
I will be unable to obtain thorough and last
ing results. '
