bending every energy to be In the best
possible condition for tho big track
meet with University of Oregon next
week. When the two teams meet on
Ankeny field May 13, It will bo for
tho. track championship of the four
northwest states of Montana, Washing
ton, Idaho and Oregon. Whitman can
already claim the title to the firsV-three
since winning the triangular meet at
Pullman last week. Her athletes are
anxious to add Oregon to the list.
Whitman never had a stronger track
team than she haa this year. The only
weak place is In the distance rune,
where there is nobody of first class
