WEATHER REPORT
The depression noted over western
Montana last evening now appears In
the form of a trough of low pressure
extending from Alberta southward to
Arlsona. It retains tl energetic char
acter, causing general rains over the
entire Pacific northwest during the last
12 hours. The recorded amounts were,
however, small except in Alberta. High
winds were reported ove southeastern
Idaho .and in southern Nevada. Tem
peratures, were decidedly lower over the
plateau, especially in eastern Oregon
and southern Idaho The California
high area has drifted northward and
now overlies the Oregon coast. It has
developed considerably durlnj? the in
terval and Is now of pronounced char
acter. The Ohio valley storm area re
mains practically stationary. It is very
energetic1 and heavy rains have fallen
since yesterday over the entire north
eastern portion of the country. The
rains have been particularly heavy in
eastern Pennsylvania, New York and
New England. The further 'develop
ment of the high area overlying this
region Is expected to cause fair weath
er over this district tonight and Satur
day. Frosts are expected tonight, ex
cept along the coast, while higher tem
peratures are probable Saturday.
