The four-masted schooner Willie R.

this morning from San Francisco under
charter tp E. T. Willlama & Co. to
load lumber for Callao, Peru. She will
begin receiving cargo tomorrow morn
ing at the mills of the Portland Lum
ber company.
The Willie R. Hume waa about 12
days making the run north from the
Bay City and encountered some rather
severe weather. Captain Mackenxie is
accompanied by his family. The cargo
will measure about 1,000,000 feet of
lunioer.
Four coasters arrived in durln ti.
night, the North Pacific SteamshlD com
pany's steamer Roanoke, the Tillamook
liner Sue H. Elmore, the Coos Bay liner
Alliance and the steam schooner Johan
Poulsen. The Roanoke brought a large
list of passengers from San Pedro and
way ports and will leave here Saturday
morning. She was delayed at San Fran
cisco because of her annual inspection.
The Alliance arrived here at an early
hour this morning bringing 80 passen
gers from Marshfteld and ottier norts
on Coos Bay. Captain Olson reports
having had tairly good weather on the
round trip, although a fresh breeze waa
stirring up a pretty good sea coming
north. The Alliance's careo Included
a few carloads of sash and door mill

Captain Nelson of Steamer Hornelen
Sights Mark Near Cape Mears.
The sight of a red soar buoy of the
type in use at the mouth of the Colum
bia river gave Captain Nelsen -of the
Norwegian steamer Hornelen and his
officers a surprise that for a while
rather startled them.
The buoy was seen at a nolnt about
12 miles southwest of Cape Mears and
six miles oil Bhore on the morning of
May 1 as the steamer was bowling along
at a good clip, bound for this port from
Ban Tanciseo. A heavy gale was
blowing at the time or Captain Nelgen
would have made an effort to pick up
tne rjuoy wnen ne nnuuy discovered that
it was out of position and drifting.
For a minute or two the appearance
of the buoy set Captain Nelsen to think
ing that possibly a mistake had been
made somewhere, or that somehow the
snip had Deen carried out or her course
by the strong current, but investigation
soon proved that the steamer waa ex
actly wnere sne was expected to oe and
the buoy out of place.
Captain Nelsen reported the matter
to the local hydrographlc branch this
morning and notices will be sent to
mariners along the coast. Possibly the
buoy will be picked up and returned to
its post, which is believed to be at the
entrance to the Columbia river.
SURVEY' DERELICT CRAFT.
Captain Crowe Will Name Extent of
Damages to Steam Schooner.
Captain A. Crowe, surveyor, is at
Astoria today making a survey of the
steam schooner Minnie E. Kelton, which
was towed into port Monday night by
the steam schooner Washington. The
Kelton had been abandoned off Yaquina
Head Saturday night when waterlogged
and with her deckload gone.
It is believed that the schooner can
be repaired for a few thousand dollars
and in that event the owners, captain
and crew of the schooner Washington
will make a handsome haul in the way
of salvage. It is held that the Kelton
had been totally abandoned and was
drifting with her anchors hanging at the
ends of their chains In the water but
not holding on the bottom, the depth
of water being too great for the length
of the chains. The anchors had been
let go so as to prevent the vessel from
drifting hard on the beach In case slid
should get into shallow water.
In his official report to Captain P. J.
Werlich, lighthouse Inspector, Henry E.
Wilson, keeper of the Yaquina Head
station, states that the derelict Kelton
was first sighted from the csds on
May 3. about 10 miles north of Yaquina
Head and about half a mile off shore.
The keeper also states that the Kel
ton's captain has stated that at 4 o'clock
on the evening of the second the vessel
came to anchor off Depot bay when
tne men were laaen asnore by the
Yaquina Day lire saving crew.

claim to be proficient In the treatment of all
human ailments and diseases. To attain tha
hlghest possible degroa of proficiency in all
departments of medioal science would require
half a doxen lifetimes of study and as many
more of practical experience: The regular
practitioner Is proficient in. a large number
of the commonest and most easily conquered
diseases. The specialist must first become
proficient for general practice, and must then
go on to proficiency in a few of those condi
tions and diseases more difficult to under
stand and more difficult to cure.

What Weakness Is and How
I Care It
"Weakness", la merely a
symptom of chronic inflam
mation in the prostate gland,
brought on by the Improper
treatment of soma contracted
disease. A complete and rad
ical cure is, therefore, a ques
tion of restoring the prostata
gland to its normal state, and
this I accomplish promptly
and completely without the use
of Internal remedies. My treat
ment is a local one entirely.
It Is original and scientific
and has been proven abso
lutely effective by thousands
of tests. I am convinced that
by no other methods can full
and permanent restoration of
strength and vigor be accom
plished. Free Consultation

VARICOCELE
A thorough cura without pain or cut
ting. Every case of Varicocele I treat
proves the superiority of my mild and
harmless method, and the folly of re
sorting to Burgery. -In most instances
it is even unnecessary to detain the pa
tient a single day from his business.
The treatment I employ Is distinctively
my own, and ca,n ba had at my office
only. Do not submit to the 'knife and
hospital expenses, when a complete and
permanent cure can be had without the
loss of time, and without pain, or cut-
SPECIFIC BLOOD P0ISCN
Others dose tha system with mineral
poisons scarcely less dangerous than
tha disease Itself. The beat they hope
to do by this treatment is to keep the
disease from manifesting Its presence
upon the surface of the body. Under
my treatment the entire system is
cleansed. The last taint vanishes to ap
pear no more. I employ harmless blood
cleansing remedies. They are remedies
heretofore unknown in the treatment of
-this disease. They cure by neutralizing
and absolutely destroying the poison in
the system. Such cures cannot be other
than complete and permanent.
