the college is paying the full railroad

and Is providing entertainment In Walla
Walla for all the contestants who come.
The railroads aro granting an open
rate of on and one third fare and this
means tbe presence of several hundred
visitors besides the contestanta. Elab
orate plans are being .made by Walla
Walla for a gala event The college
will be closed for two days and the
publio schools will be dismissed for tbe
meet.

taken, but the thieves, evidently con
sidering themselves secure, sat down
