The pilot chart of the North Pacific
ocean for May has been, Issued by the
hydfbgraphlc office, and from paat ex
periences It Is shown that May Is as a
rule a fine month at sea. Storms of
great severity are infrequent, light, baf
fling winds prevailing In moat quarters.
Relative to the winds along the Amer
ican coast, the chart says:
