" 'fold mining propositions erer advertised in -Portland. . ,.
v IT IS IN GOLDFIELD, NEVADA,' THE RfCIIEST MINING CAMP ON THE FACE OF THE EAHTTX1 It b a part oi
' ihe world-renowned Florence mine richest gold mine on the face of the earth. Our ,sapermtendent at that mine is a brother to our
superintendent at Rawhide, Nevada, where we have another wonderful property. The Goldfield brother wrota a tetter to the Rawhide
brother, and the latter wrote the following letter to us, which we reproduce verbatim at Uteratum,
. Both Gold and Silver in Thio Mine
,. . Xkwfelde. Ajprfl M, 1908, j.
V. B. Stewart, Portland, Or. -I am sending you a few samples of our Rawhide ore which' shows free gold and will give the people
an idea of the quality of the rock.' I include a specimen from the Proaky lease which runs way op, and one of the other pieces shows
the character of the rich silver ore impregnated with gold. I had an assay running across our shaft yesterday which went 40 ounces
in silver and hfgh in gold. The vein is about four feet wide where we are sinking and shows good shipping values clear across the ledge
This is undoubtedly the Last Chance vein which runs through our claim and tontinnes on through the Burns lease and Hooligan HlU,
which is producing such wonderful values on the Miller lease.' One of the encouraging features about our ledge is that it Is widening np
with depth and values are increasing and I believe we have one of the biggest things in camp. ' :
I had very encouraging news today from our lease on the Florence in Goldfield. Yon know the picture rock (Wgh grade) on the
Florence is always found in that blue sulphide quartz which lays along side of the dacfte dikes and which we felt so confident about
being in our block of ground. I received word from my brother Fred that he was encountering rock of that nature hut about .where
we figured it ought to be, and unless all signs fail we will soon have one of the famous Florence ore chutes. Mr. Mefltfe,' superintendent
of th? Rogers lease, who has been looking over our ground very carefully, feels confident that we hare ore In sight savs it looks like a
cihch don't see how we can miss it Now when, we get shippers on both our Rawhide and Florence leases, which looks like a cer
tainty, we will have one of the biggest propositions in the country, and will be in a position to make all kinds of money for ooraeJres
and friends. . .
Rawhide is looking better every day and I believe by early fall wiH be the greatest camp la the country. We are on the tacky
number this time, and, are bound to win out R. Q, VIRTUE.
Is this enough for you? If not what more do you want? If you believe tts, Is there not enough in the above letter to start tout
blood flowing hotly-Jn your veins, and your feet hurrying your body toward tkls office?. LWE ARE MINING IN. THE .TREASURE
,VAULTS OF BOTH GOLDFIELD AND RAWHIDE, NEVADA. .
Wake Up9 People I
You Have but Five More Days in Which to Procure Shares
of the Portland-Florence Mining, Leasing Co. at lOc Each
ON MAY 4 THE PRICE WILL BE ADVANCED TO 20 CENTS PER SHARE, SPOT CASH! In five or six months, when I :
this ftock is paying dividends fabulous as those of other Goldfield mines, there will be a great many people in Portland and the neigh-
boring country regretting their failure to own shares m this company. Hearts will be full of self-reproach. It will be said: ''WE HAD
THE OPPORTUNITY, BUT NEGLECTED TO EMBRACE ITL' We have received another bunch of ore from Rawhide in which
the gold is visible to the naked eye. We have a letter from our superintendent at Goldfield telling us that "We have reached the point f
at which water begins to ooze through, and you know as well as we that THE FORMATION IS THE SAME AS THE LITTLE
FLORENCE, AND THE SIGNS ARE THE SAME AS THAT OF OUR SISTER MINE IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE
MINERS CUT INTO THAT IMMENSE BODY OF THE RICHEST ORE EVER TAKEN FROM THE EARTH I"
Linked together these two leases and our own 100 acres comprise a gold mining proposition that ft seems to us a person who has
a little money is actually blind to his own interests not to get into while he may.
$100 Invested in These Shares This Week Is Almost Cer
tain to Pay $100 Per Month Hereafter
Out-of-town buyers will do well to telegraph or telephone their orders. We reserve the right to reject all orders received after 4
this block of 50,000 shares is sold. Therefore, it is "FIRST COME FIRST SER.VED." , ,
NOW IS THE TIME TO SOW SEED FOR A HARVEST THAT WILL LAST FOR A QUARTER OF A ;
CENTURY OR MORE
The man of small means, especially, has a hard time of it in this world. We wish we had a thousand of these as partners. It '..
would give us the joy of our lives, a little later, to lift those persons above the plane of want and penury. WE BELIEVE FROM THE ' '
DEPTHS OF OUR HEARTS THAT THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THESE MINES WILL DO FOR THOSE WHO OWN
THEIR SHARES! But this week will end the opportunity to get in at 10 cents per share. THE STOCK GOES TO 20 CENTS
