A trough of low pressure extenda
from Alberta south to Arizona, and In
conaequence thereof the weather on the
macule slope is unsettled ana iigni
shower have fallen at scattered places
as rar south aa Ban L,uls Obispo. An
immense high pressure area central over
Lake Superior controls the weather in
the. eastern half of the United Statea.
Along the southern and eastern edge of
this high pressure area moderately
heavy rains have fallen, beginning In
New Mexico and extending east through
the gulf statea and thence north
throughout the Atlantic states. It la
decidedly colder in the middle Missis
sippi valley, the Ohio valley, lower lake
region, middle Atlantic and New Eng
land states, and warmer in British Co
lumbia, western and southern Montana
and the Dakotaa.
The Indications are for showers In
this district tonight or Friday.
