James Cole, candidate for the Repub
lican nomination Tor district attorney,
spoke briefly and told his auditors that
in the event of hla election he would

pay especial attention to the r Sunday
closing law, the gambling lawa and
other lawa that have a direct bearing
upon the morals or the community.
Cole's campaign has been a peculiar
