Norwegian Steamer . Aker Returns
' After Exciting Experiences. .
After having encountered a- series of
ths worst storms Imaginable, tba Nor
wegian steamer, Aker returned this
morning from tha orient rla "Ban Pedro.
In command of Captain Oulllksen, she
left hers In November with a cargo of
wheat and flour for Yokohama, and now
she Is back toxarry wheat to Japan for
Kerr, Olfford Co. A portion of, tha
cargo will ba taken on at Taooma.

bark Isaac Reed have reached San Fran
cisco from Newcastle, New South Wales,
the former taking 105 days for the trlD
and the latter 100 days. The Drummond
was on the overdue list at 20 per cent
and the Reed at IS per cent.
