ing the company to violate the law. be
cause the law says It shall be sold to
actual settlers only. It goea without
saying that those who are putting up
"location feea" to hav. applications
filed for these lands are being duped
and defrauded of their money.
Any person desiring to avail himself
of the benefits of the act of April lrt.
or ins act or May , 1870, should
nrst select mo acres or the unsold por
tion of the grant that he is willing in
good faith to make a home out of, and
men move on the land and live on It
and go to work and appropriate the
lanu ror a noma, ny making aubatantlal
lrnproveraenta and cultivation. He
could, as soon as he had moved upon the
land in rood faith, lawfully claim tn
be an actual settle;. And he could, aa
soon as he had moved on the land, law
fully demand of the railroad company
that it sell the land to him at the
maximum price of 12.50 an acre.
Only to Settlers.
But any application to buy Presented
to the railroad company by a person
nnt such a bonafide actual settler will,
of course, be Ignored by the railroad
company, and It should be Ignored by
the railroad company. Such a prema
ture nppllcant would neither be acting
in coon raitn witn tne government nor
witn tne ranroaa company.
Should the railroad company comply
wiui any sucn premature application, it
would be violating tne law, because it
is made unlawful for the railroad com
pany to sell to anyone except an actual
settler.
No person should attempt to settle
upon any of these lands which have
heretofore been sold and conveyed away
hy the railroad compMny. ' It goes with
out saying that no person will attempt
to settle upon any portion of the grant
which haa been sold, becauae there are
to give.
Mr. Townaend felt that without th.
ronton resolution he would b. circum
scribed as to the form of rel ef tho aov-
ernment would have a right to demand.
inat is to say, tnat he could only ak
ror compliance with the terms of th.
grannng acts, and could not ask for for
feiture as an alternative remedy. The
Fulton resolution was Introduced In or
der to give the government two chances
Instead of one. But now Mr. Mnmt.n
comes along and introduces a resolution
as a trailer to the Fulton resolution
the effect of which will be if adopted to
limit the government to the single rem
edy of forfeiture. If the Mondell res
olution Is adopted it will leave the gov
ernment In no better position, and per
haps in a worse position,' than it waa to
start with.
Steroid right Mondell Meaanr.
The Mondell resolution proposes to
make it unlawful for persons to here-

Men Cured
No oth.r physician employs a like method,
and so thorough is my work that there need
not be the slightest fear of a relapse Into th.
old condition. It Is not a question of whether
you can be cured, but whether you will be
cured. Don't wait until It is too late. My
method is perfect and quick. The cure Is ab
solutely certain. I use NO KNIFE, cause no
pain, and you need not be detained from your
work for one day. I especially solicit those
cases where many so-called treatments have
failed or where money has been wasted on
electric belts and other appliances. Func
tional derangement Is neither a "weakness"
nor a disease. It is a symptom of prostatic
disorder. To stimulate activity by the use
of powerful tonics Is an easy matter, but
such results ar. merely temporary drug ef
fects. Most doctors treat "weakness" in this
manner because they do not know how to
cure ine real cause or th. derangement. I , '
am th. only physician employing scientific and successful methods. My
treatment is a local one entirely and corrects everv abnormal condition
of that vital center, th. prostate gland. My cures are real cures and
ar. permanent k
