and illegal combinations in general
were severely denounced by Rev. Philip
Bauer, ; pastor of the First Congrega
tional enuren or tnis city, in his- talk
before the Young Men's Christian as
sociation of this city yesterday after
noon. The lecture was on "Half Dust
and Half Deity," and the. pastor was
urging on his hearers the necessity of
getting "honest dominion."
"When1 I say 'dominion,' F I mean
honest dominion, not like these enorm
ous combinations which have more than
they have a right to and which are
going, to be curbed," he said,
.As a remedy for ths evil. Dr. Bauer
suggests the political education of the
