Sheriff Taylor yesterday believed to be
guilty of robbing E. C Hedger of his
money and gold teeth at Spokane, but
thav are also believed to be a part of
the gang that held up the Stevens store
at Umatilla on Christmas day, securing
$125 from the cash register, and who
also held Up the store of E. E. Ripper
at Echo a few days later, securing $75
In cash. Sheriff Taylor has good evi
dence that the men arrested committed
these two crimes, and tt Is likely that
charges will be made against them by
District Attorney Phelps.
