The grizzly bear of Russia, another
aklu which Is much in demand by the
rich In ell parts of the world, is also
fast disappearing and within the next
few year will practically be an ani
mal of the oast according to Mr. O'Don
nell.
Mr. O'Donnell Is in business with hi
brother. Tears before the animals of
'the wilds became so hard to find Mr.
O'Donnell frequently made pilgrimages
into me jungles or Asia and the East
Indies in the search of bis trame. He
has frequently gone pn elephant hunts.

grange hall, recently completed by
Pine Grove grange, at an expenditure
of between 88,000 and $7,000, and said
to be one of the finest in the state,
will be dedicated February 12.

The British bark Alexander Black and
the schooner Virginia will arrive in the
harbor tomorrow.
The steamer Breakwater left Coos
Bay last night. The Alliance is due to
arrive from Coos Bay Saturday.
The oil carrying steamer Atlas waft
delayed four hours on her way down
the river yesterday by a slight break in
tne machinery.
The British steamer Tweeddale went
to the bunkers this rooming to take on
coal before going to the elevator dock
to load wheat.
