So far the beneflta of the fund have
been extended to five young women of
lha atate. The largest sum loaned to
any one, ao far. has oeen $160, the small
est 2S. In thla latter case thla small
sum will be sufficient to keep thla
moat deserving young woman at one
of the best Institutions In -the state
from January to June of thla year, and
give her advantages, that ahe, as the
eldest of a large family whom she haa
had to help support, has been deprived
of. Of course this small sum of money
would not have accomplished all thla,
but one of the moat beautiful features
of the work Is the opportunity It gives
the committee to assist deserving girla
In other ways. Several of the glria who
have hud loana have been assisted by

way of tuition, some light work or other
help from the educational Institution,
thereby making the loan a small portion
of the service the committee has ren
dered. In all about $500 Is ao loaned out. and
there are now several deserving young
women who are waiting to get a loan.
