The lifeboats of the Plcrri Lotl will
probably be picked up by passing ves
sels and lead to the belief that the bark
has been lost. Mariners take this as
indicative of the finding of wreckage
from a vessel not being conclusive evi
dence of their loss. The exnerlenen of
the Plerrl Lot! kindles new hopes of the
British bark Hartfleld still being
afloat, although pieces of her lifeboats
hHve been picked up on the west coast
of Vancouver island. The Hartfleld is
overdue at Pugct sound.

Inspector Barboivr Tliinka Missing
Chinese Is in River.
Immigration Inspector John H. Bar
bour has come to the conclusion that
Sue Gang, Chinese cook, who escaped,
from the Oriental liner Arnhla In thl
port Thursday night, has met death in
the Willamette.
Inspector Barbour held a searching In
vestigation yesterday afternoon, and it
was made clear that the Chinaman did
not get away over the gang plank
which at no time had been unguarded.
The cooks slippers were found near
the wheel nft unH thla k
lief that he tried to get ashore over the
hawser leading from the stem to ti,
dock. Tho opinion is that he fell into
the river in trying to carry out this In
tention. Sue Gang's shipmates say he
drank a bottle of gin and several bot
tles of beer on the night he disappeared,
probably for the jiurpose of gathering
courage to undeftnka tha Aa
climb from the ship to shore over tha
steel hawser.

Weakness
Functional weakness tn men Is In
teallty a comparatively simple ailment
and is but a symptom of local disorder,
a state of chronic Inflammation of tha
prostate gland. No stimulating treat
ment, whether Internal or locally ap
plied, can do more than excite tem
porary activity. By my Hyste'm of local
treatment I restore absolutely normal
conditions throughout the organs In
volved, which promptly results in com
plete and permanent restoration of
strength and vigor. This treatment Is
original with me, and is the onTy radi
cal and certain cure yet devised.
Varicocele
Varicocele Is a relaxation, knotting and
twistlnar of the most vital hlnnd veaaela
of tho organic system. It stagnates the
local circulation and Interferes with the
grocesses of waste and renalr. Neglect
rings derangement of functions and
injury to the ceneral health. Moat
nhvslelana resort to aurdcal nnerntlona
and hospital treatment I cure Varico
cele in one ween without operation, pain
or detention from business. Mv cures
are absolutely permanent and no 111 ef
fects whatever can follow mv treat
ment.
