carry bis case to the supreme court.

or wired to Governor Chamberlain urg
ing the exercise of executive clemency

sion quite audible, "All coons look alike

Scottish friend the host had ordered the

Just as the servant was about to de
posit It on the table the flames caught
her lace cap.
With a cry of terror she dronned the
dish on the table. . It was smashed, and

dress. She flung herself Into the arms
of her Scottish neighbor, screaming
"Save me." With great presence of
mind he emptied a bottle of mineral
water over her corsage. The flames
were extinguished, but she Immediately
abused him for spoiling her dress. The
