PROMISES TO BE GOOD
AND PAY ALIMONY
If Charles Heslg, Of 781 Marlon ave
nue. Sell wood, behaves himself and
pays his wife $10 a month for the sup
port of herself and their two little chil
dren, he will not have to serve a 80
day sentence on the rockplle. Such
was the decision of Judge Cameron In
the munloipal court this morning after
he had heard how Heslg had been ar
rested for beating his wire and refusing
to give her enough of his earnings to
support herself and the children.
The Judge said some other things to
Heslg, some of them having to do with
the whlDDins nost and other forms of
punishment provided by law for the
benefit of pugnaolous husbands. Heslg
promised to be good, however, and
signed a paper to that effect In order
to escape a more intimate acquaintance
