"Arizona."
The word "Arlsona" is sufficient. So
well known Is this drama and so pop
ular that the title In itself tells the
story and no lengthy comments are
needed for explanation. "Arlsona" is
now at the Marquam and will continue
until Saturday night with a Saturday
matinee. It Is a typical American
drama.
"The Crisis" at the Baker.
The largest audiences of the .season
are witnessing the Baker Stock com
pany's beautiful production of Winston
Churchill's famous drama, "The CrlBls"
this week. The love siory of Stephen
Brlce. the young lawyer from the north,
for Miss Virginia Carvel, down In the
city of St Louis just at the beginning
of war times Is most vividly told.
Child to Get a Teddy Bear.
Some bright tot who atends the Em
pire matinee Saturday afternoon will
come away hugging a nice big Teddy
Bear. During the performance of Hal
Laurence's laughing, play "Are You
Crazy," a song specialty is introduced In

number of people In the audience, and
the nearest guess will win a fine Teddy

SEARCH FOR BRADLEY
FRUITLESS EFFORT
Detectives Baty and Hellyer returned
last evening from an extended trip to
the logging camps of southwestern
Washington, where they prosecuted a
search for Melville Bradley, the mur
derer of Policeman Glttings. The trip
was fruitless of results, as no trace of
Bradley was found and It Is thought by
the officers that the tip upon which
they were working was the result of a
case of mistaken Identity. They de
clare that the wagon roads and railroads
throughout that part of the country
visited by them are crowded with ho
boes and unemployed men, who are trav
eling from place, to place on foot and
by means of beating their way on the
trains. Among such men it would be
possible for a fugitive from 'justice to
lose his Identity and cover up any trace
of his true Identity.
HUSBAND WITH BIFLE
FKIGHTENS WIFE
People living in the vicinity of Di
vision and South Thirty-fourth streets

abusing his wife and they feared he
might kill her. Warier lives at 1008 Di
vision street. An omcer was sent to tne
house and ascertained that, a neighbor
had taken Waller awav and that the
wife and children had taken refuge with
a neighbor's family. When he left the
house Warier took, with him a riflo and
ammunition. .Because of this Mrs.
