In making a landing yesterday after noon at the Southern Pacific dock on the east side of the river, the steamer Breakwater crashed into the British ship Cluvcrdon berthed there and did some damage to herself as well as the sailing- vessel. Temporary repairs will be made but nevertheless the accident will delv the steamer at least a day. She wits booked to depart for Cooa Bay tonight.
