Helena, Mont, Nov. 25. Tha mem
bers of the commission recently ap
pointed to appraise the remaining gov
ernment land on the Flathead Indian
reservation have perfected en organisa
tion. Orders from Washington are t
go into the field at once and begin
work. The reservation contains ap
proximately 1,425,000 acres, of which
75,000 seres have been allotted to tha
Indians, leavlna 1.250.000 acres to be in-
spected, classified and appraised. Ths
land will be divided into agricultural
land of the first class, agricultural land
of the second class, timber land, mineral
land and grazing land.
