Eastern Railway company, which la
building an electric line between Eugene
and Springfield and intends to extend
it on up the McKenile valley, today
started a gang of surveyors north, from
here to make the preliminary survey for
a line between Eugene and Albany and
Salem and eventually on down the val
ley to Portland.
