This eight-story steel building is the property of the Portland Commercial Club, and the Club
will occupy the four upper floors and roof garden as soon as completed. The four lower
floors and basement will rent for sufficient to pay the interest on the bonds of $350,000 re
quired for the construction. This Club is affiliated with the Oregon Development League, an
organization composed of seventy-three Oregon industrial and commercial bodies. A larger
percentage of the 1025 members are in regular attendance upon the daily luncheon than is true
of any other similar organization in the United States.
