Tha trial of Frank Harvey, who on the night of July 10 shot and killed Mrs. Gertrude Hall, a widow, with whom he waa In sanely Infatuated, commenced In tha superior court here this morning. Har vey alleges, and hla frlepds believe, that he did not mean to kill the woman. He tried to get her to marry him. but she put him off with one excuse and another. Finally he began watching her home. On the night of the killing Harvey saw a man, who proved to be Sherman T. Blanchard, a sawmill foreman, enter her house. He softly crept into the house. Groping his way to her room, where he heard voices, he threw open the door. An electric light waa brightly burning In the room, and instantly recognising him and perceiving his murderous Intention, Mrs. Hall leaped upon him and the two began a furious struggle for a revolver Harvey carried In bla hand. Suddenly the weapon was discharged. the bullet passing through the body of Mra Hall, killing her instantly. Har vey then turned his attention to Blanchard. who had made no effort at either protection or defense. Pumping several bullets into Blanchard, who lay perfectly still Harvey quietly left the house and going to the police station gave himself up, telling the officers that he had killed Blanchard. While desperately wounded, Blanchard was not dead, and leaving the house soon -after Harvev. went five blocks to a- aaloon. where he waa taken care of. Xfter hanging between life and death for weeks he finally recovered. - It waa several days before Harvsy learned that he had killed Mra. Hslf. He then went into a delirium of grief, and has since been inconsolable. He Is an Englishman of middle age. The Best Doctor "I believe that the best doctor la the one who knows the worthless ness of most medicines." Dr. Wm. Osier in a recent address to physi cians. At last some of our eminent physi cians are beginning to tell the truth about drugs. They have deceived the people Just about as long ss they can, unless they check the advance of science. It is xelence that has "shown them up." It has proved that man'a body Is electrical; that electricity runa our oodles ana produces what we call life. It has shown that most all sickness and chronic dis orders are due to a lack of electric energy. It has taught us the worthlessness of drugs, thst they are only poisons, and poisons don't cure. The reason drugs don't cure is because they do not help Nature. Nature needs electricity, nourish ment eomethlng that builds up. Drugs contain no nourishment no electricity Juat poison which teara down. My way of curing la to restore electricity where it Is needed, and pain and sickness will disappear. That'a becauae electricity gives strength, power to the body, en abling every organ to perform ita work properly, and when every or gan la In a atrong, healthy condi tion there can be no pain or alck nesa.
