Foreign novelties in cloaks, suits, costumes, mil
linery, neckwear, leather goods, jewelry, etc., are
commencing to arrive from Paris, Berlin and Lon
don, the personal selections of our Mr.S. Frank,
assisted by our commissioners in the above cities.
We promise a surprise this fall in the Wky of a
magnificent and matchless showing of imported
and exclusive merchandise of all kinds, purchased
during the past year by Mr. Frank in his exten
I sive travels on the continent, to the fashion cen
ters, as well as the leading manufacturers of all
wares we are interested in. We will have a great
deal more to say on the subject of foreign mer
chandise as the season advances.
Mr. M. J. O'Brien Hosiery, underwear, veiling
and ltather goods buyer, has returned from a five
weeks' trip to the mills and factories in the east
Mr. T. Upright, men's furnishing goods buyer,
is home again, after a six weeks eastern trip.
Miss Frances Hanley, lace buyer, is in New
York.
Miss Stella Kitchen, corset and muslin under
wear buyer, is now in the east oa her usual buying
trip.
Mr. Frank Rueblsh. wash goods buyer, has just
I returned from an eastern trip to the cotton goods
mills.
Mr. Charles Elldnrton is now associated with
the Meier & Frank Store as buyer of gloves, rib
bons, handkerchiefs, trimmings and neckwear.
Mr. J. P. AvenlL our toy chief, who spent three
months in Europe last spring, making his selec
tions for the 1907 Christmas season, reports the
arrival of over 200 cases of German and Parisian
novelties. There'll be "something doing" in "Toy
land" a display so extensive, novel and complete
that it will amaze you.
Mr. G. C. Henriot, jewelry and fancy goods
