Quench their thirst, aaya Deputy Sher
iff Sate Warner, who loudly condemns
thla la teat freak of tha autoa.
"Water troughs were placed by tha
roadside so that horses could drink,'
said Wagner. The autoa come along,
and empty tha troughs to fill their
tanks. Then when aomo one with a team
drives along, hla horses sweating and
thirsty, there la no water for them.
"In the winter and spring It makes
little difference, as the troughs fill
again quickly, but In tha summer when
water is scarce, it is a serious matter
for the horses. Just tbe other day in
tne eastern part or tne county a man
with an auto got to the water trough
Just ahead of me and emptied it I had

water for my horse, and he was thirsty
when we reached the first trough. If
tha autoa want to use tha county roads
it la all tight, but they ought to fill
tneir water tanxs before they leave
