Cook this morning filed suit In the circuit court for $10,000 damage, against the Portland Railway, Light & Power company for injuries alleged .to have been sustained in a collision of two streetcars on May 1 at Halladay avenue and East First street. Mrs. Cook alleges that the collision was caused by the negligence of the company's em ployes. She says that she was thrown forcibly aa-alnst the side of the car in which she was riding, and sustained an y to her spine that has permanent ly crippled her. H. Balr. This work is meeting with much favor, as the dust In. previous years - has been very dis agreeable. Cement sidewalks are being put down in place of the old wooden walks.
