Homes Bniffiii
in Rose City Park

The amount of money represented in the homes that are now being built in Rose
City Park is quite considerable. It approximates $50,000.. Six homes are actually
being erected. A score or more are in the hands of architects, contractors or the
prospective owner, waiting for minor details, so that they may be completed and
ready for occupancy by fall. Why is all this activity? There are a great many
reasons for it. Rose City Park is an ideal place for a home. People recognize this
just as soon as they step foot upon the addition. There is an atmosphere about
Rose City Park that seems to be peculiar to this spot alone. The balmy breezes,
the scenic outlook, the healthy elevation and close proximity to business and a
dozen other things are attracting home builders. One other important drawing
card is the tremendous extent to which the improvements have been planned and
the remarkable progress that has already been made. The streets are being
graded; the curbs are being put in; the cement sidewalks are being laid; the water
mains are being placed and a lot of other things are being rapidly done. These
things are important. The street car service is regular and now runs on top of the
hill; the ride is a quick one and pleasant as well, and every modern improvement is
being pushed as fast as men and money can push them. These are a few reasons
why homes are being built so rapidly in Rose City Park. There are other such rea
sons as low prices, easy terms, building assistance when needed and the insurance
feature in the contract. To be brief, there are a thousand reasons why it is desirable
to build in Rose City Park, while it would tax the ingenuity 6f any one to put
forth a single reason why such a move is not a splendid one. We will be pleased
to visit Rose City Park with you or to give you any detailed information that we
can. Call at our office any day or go out with us and see the property for your
self. We are certain that you will be captivated when you' see this big addition
and we urge you to call at your earliest convenience.

Activity in Bay City
(ON TILLAMOOK BAY)
Since Bay City property was offered for sale a week ago,
that city is beginning to realize somewhat, the destiny
that nature and circumstances have thrust upon it. Com
mercial activity is already very noticeable. The hotel is
being enlarged; a new dry goods store will be opened
soon; a new candy store has been started and a new bar
ber shop commenced business yesterday. Still more
good news for Bay City. Within 90 days the Oregon
Electric road will be completed from Salem to Hillsboro.
This line in connection with the Lytic road will place all
of the Willamette valley in closer touch than ever before.
It will enable people from all through the valley to reach
Bay City in less than three hours. Bay City is naturally
the bay city of Portland. It is Portland's front door. It
is the threshold to Portland. It is the center of the finest
resort country on the Pacific coast. For every dollar in
vested now in Bay City lots, the investor will be able to
take out ten within five years. A $50 lot now will be
worth $500 in that time. Water front property, located
across from the Lytle depot, listed at $7,600 can now be
had for $5,000 cash. Free ste for first sawmill to help
saw 30,000,000,000 feet of the finest standing timber in the
world. A dollar down will do if you will build. Only 57
miles du west from Portland. For literature address

THL CLINTON- KLLLY SCHOOL
In Waverleigh the Beautiful on East 26th Street
Whether you buy in Wavtrldgh the Beautiful for the purpose of building
a home or from an investment standpoint, you have more favorable points to
consider than can be found in any location in Portland.
POINT NO. 1. Waverleigh the Beautiful is at East Twenty-sixth" street, right in the
heart of the East Side. This point figures in favor of a home builder, for distance from
the city does not lend enchantment to a home when street cars are tied up; to an investor
it means that his property will sooner reach a high market value,
POINT NO. 2. Waverleigh the Beautiful has two street car lines that have been running
for years and are good paying lines. No danger here of a repetition of what happened a
few years ago to a Portland addition when the lota were sold and the patronage of th
street cars was too light to justify running can the line was abandoned. Values then
diminished to almost nothing. Keep in mind that the W.-W. and W.-R. car lines are
permanent institutions and not temporary lines of the experimental order.
$10 Secures Your Lot
POINT NO. 3. To reach Waverleigh the Beautiful take either W.- W. or WR. cars at
Third and Yamhill. A twelve-minute ride will bring you to the most beautiful homesite
in Portland. When you reach Waverleigh the Beautiful you overlook the whole city.
The mountains make a perfect view to the east These are facts : The location of Wav
erleigh the Beautiful is the finest in Portland the views of the city and the, mountain
are actual, and not "word pictures" that fail to materialize when you want to see them.
Go over any of the extensively advertised tracts in Portland and compare all the oointa
thev claim with what they show, and then compare them all with Waverleigh the Beautiful.
