A. disastrous fire which started from a, burning rub bish pile yesterday destroyed the large sawmill building formerly used by the Oreaxm LumDer company nere. i ne building was partly empty, as the ma chinery, with the exception of tbe large engine, boilers and small engine for operating the electric light plant, had been removed to the company's big plant at Dee. The loss is estimated at several thousand dollars. The fire swept everything near it, including a planing plant, several dwellings and some small buildings, lhe mill was one of the oldest land marks about Hood River and was at one time one of the largest along the Columbia river.
