Clinton Kelly Judy, formerly of Port
land, has been awarded the Research
Fellowship in Engllsrrby tbe University
of California for high honors won as a
student at the southenn Institution of
learning. He will receive a two years'
course at. Oxford. Mr. Judy Is a son
of Mrs, Fredrlka Kelly .'udy, daughter
or unnion Kelly, one of Portland's
pioneers. He attended the Portland
schools when a boy and has been an
Instructor at the university for two
years. The award he received was re
cently founded by Albert IJonnheim of
Sacramento, California. "
A banquet will close the successful
campaign which Woodmen of the World
have been carrying; on for the past sev
eral months In securing new members
and promoting the social features of
the organisation. The affair will oa
held Friday evening. June 7, and the
committee in chrrge has outlined a
pleasing program to be carried out by
the guests. All who have attended. 10
of the 14 meetings held -during the
winter will be entitled to. seats at the
banquet.
