The bofly of a man was found in the Powder river Just north of the business section' yes terday afternoon. Coroner Ison Investi gated and the body was identified by Patrolman Tod Merwln as that of John Younger, aged 70, a miner of Sparta, who came here about two weeks ago and had not been seen nor heard of since Monday morning. Word was re ceived from Sparta Wednesday to search for Younger. Younger was a heavy drinker and it is supposed that while intoxicated he attempted to cross the bridge and fell Into the river. His body was found bout a Quarter of a mile below, the bridge. It bore no marks of violence. A few slight bruises were on the head, easily accounted for by the fall and the drifting of the body. Foul play Is not suspected. Younger had no family or any known relatives, in this part of the country. , He claimed to be a cousin of the famous Younger brothers, the Missouri out laws.
