General Tendency to Disregard fhe Government's Action
There is a tendency to overlook the government's splendid action regarding"", ,
the infection of meats.' Inspectors who are scientifically educated for their im- 4
portant work are paid high salaries to pass judgment on every piece of meat over i . .
which the government has contrblputting the government stamp on that which
is pure and healthful. Thus it is wholly possible for every housewife in the north
west tosee that only pure, wholesome government-inspected meat comes , on her
table; and "yet countless thousands ignore this precaution, taking for their tables
whatever the butcher brings them. : :v..; ' K ,; " V
As the goverhmentconsiders this point of such vital consequence as to spend r
vast sums of money merely to have the meat for the consumer properly inspected;
certainly the very least that thinking people can do is to order from their dealers " ' .
government-inspected meat. This one act of precaution would do more to insure v
the general health of the community than any other thing, and it requires only
a little forethought. Ask your dealer if his meat is government inspected; ass mm
to show you the blue label. ...'
