14-year-old daughter of P. A. Daisy of
ths Portland Machinery company, who
mysteriously disappeared last Monday
morning from hsr home at Arleta, was
located yesterday at ths home of Wil
liam M. Gregory, 111 Hancock street
Ths girl had secured employment aa a
domeatlo In the Gregory home under the
asaumsd nama of Alice Crews, through
the agency of the T. W. C. A. -
The child went to work for Mr.
Ore gory last Monday afternoon, tha
day of bar dlemppearanos, yet no mem
ber of the family suspected that aha
waa tha girl for whom the entire police
force were searching until they . read

The girl, when questioned yesterday
morning, denied at first that hsr nama
was ' Daisy, but Anally admitted her
Identity. . She declared that Charles
Crewe, uo motormaa on the Jefferson

actuated solely by a desire to snake bar
own way la the world. -
The little miss could act vouchsafe
any valid reason, however, why she had
taken tba nama of Crews other than It
