It was reported this morning that
the Norwegian steamer Slldra might
coma here to load lumber -for the orient.
She aril red at San Francisco a few
days sgo from Ocean islands with
cargo of phosphate and will sail north
as soon aa It has been discharged. Mer
charterers have net yet-fuHy-dcoldcd
whether to send her here or to Puget
sound.'
' The Norwegian steamer Hornelen will
be her soma time next week, so a. let
ter from Captain Swensen states. The
steamer arrived at San Pedro a few
daya ago with a cargo of cement, half
of which la to be delivered here. The
Hornelen la not chartered for outward
business, so far as known, but she will
undoubtedly be engaged ' for lumber
loading either hero or on the sound.
The Norwegian steamer TrJ Viken,
which arrived . here yeaterday, tjuckwd
