ety team last night In a very fast game
of basket balL The Multnomah team
did not pass the ball so well as the
Jewish boys. A large crowd saw the
match and many said that the Jewish
boy had the Club team beaten all over
the field In passing the ball. Robert
Krohn and Dan Foster were 'the stars
for the Club team. Louie Ooldstone was
the star for the Jewish boys, making

the course of a homing pigeon contest.
Four, hundred, and. twenty-nine .bird
were taken from Tours to Da Bohalle,
and the toss took place at the latter

At first' the -owners of the plgeona
were mystified at the non-appearanoe
of their little racera Then the forty
wearily dribbled in home la a decid
edly drunken condition. They were in
a shocking state of Inebriation, but they
gave a clew to the absence of the othera
Investigation showed that a maas of
black currants formed a part of , tha
freight of the railway vans. The orate
