the late Kaspar Van Dran, who died In
Portland last Thursday night, waa held

hall of the local Elks lodge, the Elks
conducting the impressive ceremonies.

In Pendleton, where he lived for a num
ber of years. The funeral waa general
ly attended by-the mem here of the or

sided and Hon. W. R. Bllyeu delivered
the oration, his address being one of
