the exposition period. It has been de
cided to give the housekeepers, board
tng-house proprietors and hotel men of
Pdlgtand an opportunity to purchaaa
these goods at undoubtedly tha lowest
prices that such goods Save over before
beeq sold for In this community. When
the American Inn . was .established at
the beginning of the exposition It was
decided to purchaaa first-class furnish
ings, so thst when the opportunity cams
for disposing of ths same they would
be In condition to tempt avea ths most
fastidious. The bedding, sheets, towels,
chairs, etc were purchased - In large
quantities, and af. astonishingly- low
pclcea. i Every effort waa mads to aeleot
goods of durable and unquestioned qual
ity! and the inn was - particularly for
tunate la-thla respect. The furnishings,
chairs, tables, linen, dishes and silver
ware were commented upon for their
quality by visitors from all parts of ths
country.'. It was commonly a matter of
toolo that such excellent , furnishlnas
should b found in an Institution of a
temporary character. , -
The wisdom,' however, of this policy
has: been smply- demonstrated owing -to
tha great Interest . wnlcn has already
been exhibited by housekeepers and
others who need to replenish their fur
nishings and who wish to secure first-
class articles at moat reaaonablo and
unexpected prices. . , . . ' :
