need and I propose to help them. I will also give every man, woman and child an opportunity to do like
wise at no cost to thenselves,-and in the name of the sacred cause of Charity. People of Portland, there
are some hundreds of those sweet girls whom the recent strike has thrown out of employment without a
cent exposed to all temptations of a great city. I propose to protect these more unfortunate people, and
ask the good people of Portland to co-operate with me in this most worthy enterprise. . : 7
The Telephone Girls will be hostesses at THE; HUB for the NEXT SEVEN DAYS and extend the
most cordial invitation to all the people of Portland to visit them at their new headquarters at THE HUB.
