What do you think of a wall plaater that will save you from a third to a half of your fuel bill In winters and keep your house cool in summer? ELASTIC PULP PLASTER will do this. I The business ; office Is located in the Chamber of Commerce building, rooms 617-82L , ' A substantial and suitable building, . COxlOO feet la alse and two atorles high, ' fully equipped with modem appliances i and operated by electric power haa been ',, erected for the manufacture of Pulp Plaster In Lower Alblna. A Urge num bar of . experienced and high-salaried i men are givea employement and some- thing like 78 tons of Pulp Plaater can Si be turned out daily. Already a demand v sufficient to asa up the output haa been to created. - ..-.: 1 ELASTIC PULP PLASTER is not in the experimental ataga. This is its L" first Introduction in the Paclflo north j west but It haa been used In tha. east and the middle west for some years -with eminently satisfactory results. The Portland factory Is one of 10 plants tl producing Elastic Pulp Plaster through out the united States. It is a substitute fori common plaa- tar for covering walls and ceilings and for 'outside work. ; It la composed of standard building 'materials mixed according to a solen ; tlncally perfect formula. These ma teriale are tested, weighed and mixed ' with mathematical precision, and the re sult Is a plaater , which is the height of aklll and economy and the perfection of v wall plaster. ELASTIC PULP PLASTER contains no sand or lime. One of its most im- - portant parte is FIBROUS WOOD PULP, made by a patented process that : retains the fiber and strength of the wood. ' ! This flbrone wood gives to the plas , . tar elasticity, toughness, lightness and strength, and imparts to the plaster tha .ii many known valuable propertlea of tha wood ltaelf. , ff . rat if '-J-" Tha other Ingredients give hardness, . firmness, smoothness, . dorabtlity, and - render It ABSOLUTELY FIRE-PROOF. The combination makes a plaater: that (has no aqual. It Is absolutely water , and moistara proof as : well , aa frost . prOOf. - ' :.',.ic . All landlords know the annoyance of v having tacks and nails driven Into their wall - plaater by vandal ' tananta. , The adjacent plaster always crumbles 'and - sometimes falls off by the square foot If they driv nails in ELASTIC PULP ' PLASTER the nail hole will, of course, remain, but sto--further daaoaare will be dona In this respect it is like wood, f It mugr also be sawed like wood for. liber into Elastic Pulp Plaater II pounds of material make one yard of wall five times as strong as when SO pounds of common plaster are used. This makes the weight of the plaster la your build ing less than one-half that of common plantar. Tims Saved. Elaatlo Pulp Plaster ' goes Into the putty stage in one hour, sets hard In two and is dried out in 41 hours; car penters can work in building without dislodging plaster two hours after it is applied. Two weeks at least, and some times much more time, can be saved in finishing any building. Hard flniBh can be put on in it hours. , Paper-hangers can follow plasterers in two day a Its Strength. The same thickness of Elastic Pulp (by addition of water) when it leaves the factory. , No delay of two weeks for mortar to ripen aa with lime plaster. ? No burning of lawns and trees by lime, aa no lime la used. -No burning up of fiber by lima as hair la burned Jn lima plasters. No blocking of travel in street by mixing bed. . No danger from freealng, as It caa be used In aero weather with no heat In building. No pitting of walla Being elaatla Instead" of brittle (as all sand mortars ere), it will dent ' like wood when struck or jammed, instead of breaking. Doors, windows, pipe-holes, etc, are easily out through it aa It Is as easUy sawed aa a wooden parti tlon. ' It Is a non-conductor of electricity and thereby prevents short circuiting. . It is half tha weight of other plasters and three tlmea as strong. It adherea equally well to brick, stone, common lath, patent lain, wood or Iron. It contains no acids or chemicals to eorrode iron, metal lath, nails, or injure the workman's handa It doea away with the necessity of expensive metal or wood eetllnga. It wll not burn or disintegrate by fire, thus being a. perfect protection for wood frame-work and lath. It will not under any conditions pit or blister. In fact It Is the only perfect wau plaater la the market today. Covering Capacity. Elaatlo Pulp Plastsr will cover from 100. 170 to 180 square yards per ton, owing to the conauions of the wall and lath and the mason's economy. One of its greatest economies lies In the saving of bauiiOg of aand and lime, time or men mixing, no delay for it to "temper," the avoiding of muss and dirt carried in by tenders, and greatest or an is tna un tousled duality of the wall ltaelf. Aa much aa a ton on to yards, nss been covering 229 yarda per ton, and made a perfect wall, So much depends on the quality of wall, whether straight and properly laid, ate., that to give a reasonable accurate covering capacity is difficult With five-eighths ground, lathed with wood lata, laid with threa-slxteenths key, pulp plaater will cover from 110 to 110 yards per ton. In other words, pulp plaster will cover Just twice aa much surface per ton (which mesne two to one In bulk) as any other plaster on the market A Oood Word From St Xioala. -A paper from St Louis says that Elaa tlo Pulp Plaater was used on a large de partment atore in that city which suf fered severely from fire. After the firs it was thought that it would be neces sary to replaster the building, and so the plasterers went to work trying to knock off the old plaster. They worked half a day and succeeded in removing few square yards. The contractor then went to the owners and told them ' that it would cost more to knock off the old plaster than he would get for ths whole Job. Consequently it waa ae elded to leave the old plaater on and simply apply - a new finishing coat which was done, and the plaater waa as good as new. This is a good practical test of the fireproof qualities of this material. Pulp master oa mopdryers. Elaatlo Pulp Plaater haa already tteen placed on a number of hopdryera down tha valley, and will be applied on a num bar more, where It makes tha best ma terial that can be ueed on aucb atruo tures, on account of its fire and moisture proof qualities.. Used on hopdryera, it is aa cheap, if not cheaper, than lime and sand, and produces a great economy in the use of fuel because of its perfect non-conductlvo propertlea On account Of this property of the plaster it waa placed two years ago on the Inside of the annealing ovens of the De Vlibiss com putlng Scale company, of Toledo, O., and has been in use there ever amca witn perfect resulte and without cracking. If it will stand sucn a nara test as mis. there can be no doubt as to Its super! ority on hopdryera. Used la Seattle. J. M.
