of the late Thomas Powers was held
yesterday afternoon and Interment was
made In the Odd Fellows' cemetery, the
service being, conducted by Rev. Moore.
He was for many years a resident of
Corvallls and waa well known through
out Benton county. . Of late years he
had lived in Josephine county and came
to. Monroe a week ago to visit' Mrs,
Hines. While -r at her home he waa
stricken with paralysis which resulted
in his death, t Mr. Powers was 68 years
