his acquaintance. He is an adept in
the art of using nitroglycerine, and of

of the moat famous Crimea of that

that he la a train robber, though noth

against 'him by officers.
He was releaaed from the ' Salem
penitentiary, January If. Eight days
later he was arrested for the Blalock
crime. In addition to hla term at Salem
he haa served time at the San Quentln
prison and other penal institutions.
One of hla confederates, with whom he
la said to. have- been associated In most
of hla crimes, waa recently sentenced
to a term in the prison at Walla Walla.
