THREE HANGINGS r
FOR WALLA WALLA
. '- (Journal 'Special SerTlce.)
Walla Walla, Dee. 14. Unless '. the
courts Intervene for the first time under
the new law, there will be three men
hanged at the state penitentiary .In a
short 'time. . 4
At Seattle Judge Bell of the superior
court sentenced John Reynolds to be
hanged at the states penitentiary for the
murder of William McNally. Unless the
supreme court prevents the carrying out
of the sentence the condemned man will
be brought to Walla Walla and executed.
There had been bad blood between Reyn
olds and McNally, and one night Reyn
olds suddenly came upon McNally ' at
Wellington, on the Great Northern rail
road in King county, and thinking that
he had met an enemy and knowing that
the latter was armed, at once opened fire
with a rifle, killing McNally. .
The warrant, of execution provides
that the condemned man may be hanged
within the walls of the penitentiary .by
