This Is A little more bearish than... some' previous estlmstes. What ever one's View of the outlook may be, the action of the market Is strong. If foreign markets are disposed to follow the bullish sentiment here It will be likely to work prices higher. If they do not follow, It will not do so. Corn Closes Steadier. The corn market was again a. little easier, although the closing was steadier. There was a good deal of selling for the local speculative account and arrivals show a little increase In the movement of new corn. On the wholo we think the movement from farmers' hands Is small and affords but little pressure on prices. Reports had rather more contract corn in store than had been expected. There was not much in speculative operations to attract atten- 1 tlon. There is considerable bearish local sentiment on 'the theory of rela tively high prices. This may operate tn time but with the small movement and the good demand there will, we think, be poor picking on the short aids at present The market At no time de velops a selling pressure. Hog receipts were again liberal And a little in excess of last year. Large receipts make scalping short selling and some selling by packers, although the latter seems very limited.
