The streets and avenues leading from the Union passen ger station to the Coliseum, where the corn carnival will be held for the next 12 days, were today brilliant with flags and bunting, marking the eve of the carnival. All along the streets have been decorated with corn, the ears, stalk, tassels, etc., and the effect Is wonderfully beautiful.
