Despite the fact that the Portland Fire Department arrived on tha scene about half an hour After the flames were discovered, nothing ..- could be done to check the edestroying demon. A poor water supply was tbe cause of the hall's destruction. ' High School facilities are wanted by other residents of the district and that's the reason they are in the annexation camp. - They argue that their children need a higher education than can be fur nished at the ML Tabor Institution. 1 "A majority of the reildent are 1n favor of Annexation to the City of Port land," said a- well known business man of Mt.
