Two men were killed and four in jured while knocking the props out of a tile kiln at at Gibson, 111., on the Gth. Another six pounds of the ancient and mysterious beeswax, that has so frequently washed up on the coast for the past two decades, was taken to Astoria 03 the Alpha on Monday. Enterprise: Robert Birnie and niece were visiting at Mrs. Dr. Bar clay's last Monday. Mr. Birnie came to Oregon before 180, and is jonsequcntly one of tho oldest sct lers now in Oregon, and probably knows mors of its early history than mv man lfving. The M. E.
